Grandparents Day

The first graders hosted their grandparents for a Grandparents Day Program right after we got back from Disneyland.  My mom and Scott's mom and dad were so good to come see the kids sing for them.
Brighton missed a week of singing practice, but he did a great job, and was able to sing anyway.  It's always fun to have a day where you get to shine, and have your grandparents' attention mostly to yourself.
After the program, we all went back to Brighton's classroom for cookies and punch, and to take pictures. Brighton is lucky to have 2 sets of fantastic grandparents.  This is Grandma and Grandpa Henry.
And Grandma LeBaron.  Grandpa LeBaron is serving a mission on the other side of the veil, but I'm sure he was there in spirit:)
We sure love you Brighton!

Awe, I hope your kids know how incredibly lucky they are to have grandparents there for grandparents day. I'm not a big fan of grandparents day at our school because it's always so sad for the poor kids (like mine) that never have a grandparent there! We'd done "adopted grandparents" a few times but it's just not the same. Glad he got to have grandparents there for him!
