Green Day 2014

I made this Leprechaun Lunch for the twins the day before St Patty's Day.
We made our traps again this year, but still failed to capture a little guy (or gal!).  The kids are sure every year that this will be their lucky year.  In Kindergarten, the twins made a leprechaun and were asked what they would do with one if they caught one.  Keaton would make him show him where he hid his gold.  Waverly would keep hers in a cage in her room and play with it.  Who needs a pet?
This is Brighton's goofy face lately.  His trap was the box with the paper over it.  The little people were too smart for this.
Waverly used an empty 2-liter bottle for hers, putting shiny stuff in the bottom to lure a magical female inside.  But she must have been too fat to fit inside the bottle because she didn't get one either.
This was our green lunch for the twins.  The big kids got a similar one too.
Our St Patty's Day dinner included this fruit rainbow with dip "clouds".
We had chicken and broccoli curry casserole, green garlic bread, green apple jello, and green beans.

Boston was just getting over an eye cold, so he was still kind of puffy.

Puttin' on the green

With a new baby this year, we've kind of scaled everything back, and our leprechaun traps were pretty simple.  Alas, we still didn't catch a wee man again!  You would have had me with the Rolos!

 This was Savannah's

We always get really excited to see what stunts the little tricksters have pulled overnight.  They like to pee in our toilets--green pee of course--and write notes on the mirrors.
This one went 4-wheeling on the lego car over the bananas.
Left notes on the kitchen counter,
used the garland to swing on the light in the dining room,
and gave each other rides on the fans using the shamrock wall hanging.  Naughty little leprechauns!  I wonder if they've been watching Peppermint the Elf.
For breakfast we had Lucky Charms cereal, rainbow fruit kabobs, and French toast.
Our Primary Presidency gave all the teachers these cute pots of gold.  I had to take a picture to remember it so I can copy next year:)

The kids and I made white and green cake pops and chocolate pretzels as favors.
 Everybody wore their silly hats
This year we had chicken and broccoli curry casserole, green beans, salad, and green jello with apples.  And lime punch.

Leprechaun Day 2012

 We ate a green breakfast

and checked our leprechaun traps.  Darn!  No luck this year either!  But we got some chocolate and gold!

This leprechaun even left a note this year!  And lost his hat.

 We found some messages...
 Mischief...

He even tried to make a phone call...
...or two.  Wonder if he called Tinkerbelle?
We even found some green leprechaun pee.  Ew!  His leprechaun mama needs to teach him to flush!

That night we had our silly green Irish dinner.

Broccoli, green apple lime jello salad, green salad with green peppers, guacamole chips, and green cilantro Thai chicken noodles.

This was the wreath I copied from Pinterest this year.
