July 4th 2014

I finally made this fun wreath for my front door that I've been ogling on Pinterest for awhile.  I love how it turned out!
Here it is on my front door.
 My holiday shelf
And book shelf decor.
We didn't do too much for the holiday this year, since I had to work.  We went to breakfast in the canyon like always; this time Scott's aunt and uncle and cousin and her family joined us.  In the evening we went over to Stuart and Sallie's and joined them in watching the fireworks in their neighborhood.  It wasn't the funnest July 4th we've ever spent, but it was nice to spend time with family.

Frozen Party

It's getting harder to please 2 different-gender kids who have to share a birthday party, in finding a theme that works for both.  However, I prevailed and convinced Keaton that Frozen would not be too girly (thank you Olaf and Kristoff!)  We invited a handful of school friends and their cousins and had a Frozen party on a hot June day!  We played Pin the nose on Olaf, had a few treats...
(frosting doesn't like 90 degree heat!  Oh well, looks like melted snow, right?)

 Arendale ice/blue jello jigglers.
thow the snowballs/huge marshmallows in Olaf's mouth
We did have a friend for Keaton show up late.  Sam was the only other boy.  There just aren't a lot of boys Keaton's age in our neighborhood or ward, and summer is hard to track down school friends.
They started off making snow pictures
Then we did snow sled races with the ice.  Scott made our cute snow sleds for us.

I love how Sam's mouth is open and tongue partly out, like he's imagining licking the candle along with Keaton.  He can practically taste the frosting (we did share the cupcakes after the singing!)
The sequence of pictures I took was hilarious.  Waverly is SO animated and excited by everything.  Keaton's expression is more reserved as he processes things a little slower.

 Excitement about a backyard pool!

I knew from Tatiana's mom (Waverly's best friend from school) that this present was coming.  She was SO excited to get her own Elsa barbie doll!  You can practically hear her shriek.

The oufit was from Grandma LeBaron.  These were Waverly's 2 favorite presents.

Happy 6th birthday twins!!

Our twinners have turned 6!  Waverly is obsessed with all things Frozen and believes she secretly has ice powers.  She loves to play Elsa and Anna with her besties, which sometimes includes Keaton and Brighton (maybe they convince her to let them be Olaf and Kristoff)
Keaton loves all things with motors, much like Brighton.  He is discovering that he is a strong little stud, and loves to show off how many chin-ups he can do at the park, the school, or on the clothes racks in the mall.  He really is all muscle, and has learned to be a super fast runner (mostly while out-running Brighton!)  He likes to play in the dirt, with trucks, and eat chips (in reverse order).

Waverly was super excited about her present from Brighton.  We don't know how to do normal hugs in this house.  We like power, knock-you-down hugs!

Look at how excited Keaton is!
Boston believes that possession is nine-tenths of the law.
This was Waverly's favorite gift this year.  She was super excited to get this tankini from Mom and Dad and had to change into it promptly to model it.  It made her look so tan!!

Their fancy birthday cake this year was peach pie--a favorite among all these Henrys.

We of course had to take turns blowing out the candle!
We sure do love you Twinners!  Happy 6th birthday!

Boston

Boston has finally figured out how to ride the little red coupe.  It enables him to better keep up with his big brothers and sisters, which is the prime goal of a little brother.
"hm, let's see what this baby can do..."
and out comes that Henry tongue!
We're trying to ween this little guy off his favored pacifier.  He found this bottle lid and was getting his fix on it, since he can no longer find the real thing.
