This year, for the 4th, we did breakfast in the canyon with Scott's family again. We found the perfect place up Hobble Creek Canyon with lots of shade and a stream close by. We had a yummy breakfast of sausage, French toast, coffee cake, eggs, and juice.
We spotted a tree rat (we think?) in a hole in a nearby tree and the kids watched it til it darted away into the bushes.
I wish I had gotten more photos of this day, but we also played with our big bubble blowers, and we did our Coke bottle Mentos experiment. It worked much better this year. I guess there is a difference in name-brand and generic soda!
After leaving the canyon, Savannah and cousin Chloe spent several hours at the reservoir. We opted to stay home because it was packed with people, and too hot for a pregnant lady! Later in the evening, we packed everyone up and headed to Provo to watch the Stadium of Fire fireworks from the Provo Temple grounds. Surprisingly, the kids were not that amazed by them. Not sure it was work the traffic heading home. And that was our Fourth this year.
