6 months old

Boston is 6 months old!  Still no teeth or hair, but lots of rolls.  We adore this chunk!  He can sit up now, and loves to be outside.  His favorite things are his pacifier, his bottle, and his mama.  He is very much a mommy's boy.  He is a snuggler and loves to have his fat cheeks kissed.  I love that he will put his head on my shoulder, and his arms around my neck.  Just what I ordered for a Last Baby:)
 He has so many expressions!
He is always quick to smile, but withholds his laughter for really funny moments, and usually only for Mom.
He has started solids but doesn't love them.  He tolerates his rice cereal, hates all veggies except for peas (weird!), but is coming to like pears and applesauce.  He does love popsicles though!
I think teeth are on the horizon, judging from the drool coming from this kid!

A campin we will go

Scott brought these cute little camp chairs home from Macey's one day for the little ones, since their camp chairs are garage sale finds and not in great condition.  The little ones thought they were awesome, and I found them all like this the next morning watching Saturday morning cartoons.

Henry girls' night

Scott took the boys to Father and Sons this year, and Keaton was very excited to finally be included in the fun.  Since the boys were all going to be away, I promised the girls a Girls Night out.  Waverly was SO excited, and asked for 2 weeks straight how many more days til our night.  She tried to invite her cousins and friends to it too, but we kept it just me and my girls.  Here they are driving away.
We had yogurt parfaits with berries and granola

and homemade whole wheat veggie pizza.  It was delish!
Then what's a girls' night without facials and nail painting?  We did each others' using egg yolk and oatmeal.  Waverly painted Irelynd's face first.  I had to get pics of all her funny facial expressions.  She thought putting egg on our faces was a very funny thing to do.

We ended the night with a movie and watched The Princess Bride.  Waverly loved sleeping in my bed with me, and wanted to know when the next Girls' Night out was.  We'll have to send the boys camping again!  I enjoyed the time with my 3 cute daughters.

Mini Society

At the kids' school, the Fifth Grade puts on a Mini Society, which is a mini carnival with games, food, etc.  It is the culminating activity in their Economics unit, and they work hard on schoolwork through the year to be able to participate.  Irelynd worked with her two friends, who happen to be twins, to run her booth.  We came after Kindergarten Graduation, but unfortunately, the winds came up and put an early end to it, so this was the only part we saw and photographed.

Look out! First Grade, here I come!

Brighton is officially a Kindergarten alumni!  Yay!  He made it to first grade and all day school!
This was the end-of-the-year program they did for the parents.
Brighton and Ms Mellor.  She will be the twins' teacher next year too.

Preschool Grads

It's official:  Keaton and Waverly are Graduates of The Little Red Schoolhouse Preschool.  Yeah!  They loved going to Miss Kasa's preschool three days a week, and will miss it greatly until school starts again in the fall.  They put on a graduation program for the parents, singing the songs they learned and showing off their newfound knowledge.  I can't believe my twinners are going to be in Kindergarten!!!

 So proud!

Their teacher is so cute.  After the ceremony, she had a fun carnival for the kids with games and prizes and treats.

This little piggy went to market...

Boston has finally discovered his piggies!

Vote for Savannah!

Savannah decided to run for drama club council this year as a 9th grader.  She came up with her slogan and poster herself, and I helped her make cupcakes as part of the party theme.  We made over 100 mini cupcakes.  She put all her heart into her campaign, and had high hopes for an election, but she did not make it on to the council.  She was very disappointed, and shed some tears over it.  But we are so proud of her for trying and going after it.  I think she learned a lot, and hopefully will continue to have the courage to go for her dreams in the future.

2 front teeth

Finally!  Tooth Fairy, I've been waiting for you!

Baseball buddies

Brighton was excited to start t-ball this month.  He got his shirt and hat at practice, so felt good about passing down his old shirt and hat to his little bro.  They got dressed one morning and insisted I take pictures of them together as baseball buddies.

Dance like no one is watching

Brighton and Waverly's final dance concert was at Provo Beach Resort in April.  Brighton did "Can't touch this" and "Gangnum Style", which was very entertaining.  Waverly did "It's a hard knock life" and "Hi Ho".  They ended with a Harlem Shake.  Waverly loved being on stage, and was NOT shy.  Brighton was a little more hesitant, and not excited to have his pictures taken.  Both grandparents came, which was fun for them to perform for.  This may be their only dance concert, as neither one want to continue.  Too much practicing they thought.
