A name and a Blessing

We blessed Boston on Sunday, December 2nd 2012 at our ward.  Because our current house is so tiny, we had the following luncheon at Grandma Henry's house.  True to my nature, I took pictures of the food:)  We had a sandwich platter, rolls, and lots of salads.

 Uncle Stuart and cousin Joshua
Uncle Steve, Aunts Lara and Shawna
Chloe, Savannah, Baker, Steve, and Grandpa Henry
 Cousin Brooke and Grandma Henry
 Grandma LeBaron and Aunt Julie
 Cousin Megan
 Cousin Spencer and Uncle Kevin
Boston was worn out and fell asleep in his carseat during dinner.
He had the same blessing outfit as Keaton.

Boston with cousin Sophia.  She was born 3 weeks before him.  It was funny; when we discovered we were going to have another baby, my sister-in-law Sallie had just found out right before us.  All of our kids are fairly close in age--the largest gap is 9 months, shortest is 11 days--and we both found out we were unexpectedly pregnant within a few weeks of each other.  I guess Heaven sends them down in pairs:)
Boston was not a huge fan of Sophia's flowery headband:)
His screaming finally woke her up.
My twins demanded to have their picture taken with Boston, too.
Keaton absolutely adores his baby brother, and makes sure he doesn't ever cry for long.

Keaton's expressions always crack me up.

Waverly still kisses with her tongue out.

Much to my regret, I never got any other photos of Boston in his blessing outfit.  The Christmas season hit hard, and so did Life with 6 kids.  These 2 are it.

At the end of the day in his jammies.  Welcome, Boston.  We are so glad to have you join our family.

Introducing...Peppermint

We decided to try a new tradition this year and invited one of Santa's elves to join our house during the month of December.  Following some other creative bloggers, we kicked the season off with a North Pole breakfast of egg nog or peppermint pancakes, hot chocolate, and powdered donuts.
We read the book that our Elf brought with her.  The name the kids decided on was Peppermint.  They were warned that Elves like to play pranks and have fun while they are visiting, but only Mom or Dad could pick them up and return them to their original resting shelf every day after the kids found her.  They had to be extra good so Peppermint would report only good news back to Santa.

Brighton did his own hair today

Boston sat patiently in his chair during our festivities.  Not quite a month old.
Morning #1, we found Peppermint on the dining table with our Scrabble set.
The kids looked and looked for her this morning, only to find her in the freezer making a snowman!  I guess she misses the North Pole.
She put the moves on Woody, and we found them on a double date with Barbie and Buzz Lightyear.

3 weeks old

Boston at 3 weeks old.  We have enjoyed this new baby so very much at our house.  He has been such a blessing.

First Dance Concert

This was Waverly's first dance concert.  Her class did a mini concert for the residents of Hearthstone Manor right after Thanksgiving.  She was excited to wear her costume and perform.  Here she is waiting for her turn.

This is her dance pose.  Waverly is so theatrical and dramatic.  She loves to be pretty and "fabulous".  Looking fab, Waverly!

Thanksgiving 2012

Boston's first Thanksgiving.  He was so small!
My Thanksgiving "mantel".  I only have a shelf to decorate in this house, no mantel, so this is where all the holiday decorations go as they change monthly.
Dinner at my Mom's house.  Julie and Kevin, and Kevin and Trish were there this year.
Julie made the cute table favors.  What a lot of work!  We sure enjoyed them though!
 My girls.

After dinner, we didn't really do crafts this year.  We had some planned, but never got to them.  The kids, however, did do crafts.  Waverly and Aislynn thought it would be fun to put stickers all over Parker's face.  He's such a great sport to let them!
Then they decided to glue red pom poms to their own noses.  They thought this was so silly and giggled constantly.
At the end of the day.

First Bath

The kids were very excited to give Boston his first bath.  As with the rest of my babies, he hated it.  Different from my other 2 boys, I did not get peed on.

I adore baby feet, so you will see a lot of these photos until they get too big to be cute anymore:)

Shhh!

Just a cute sleepy picture of Boston in his carseat.  We are loving this little boy so much in our family.  He is the most popular member of our household!
